NaTIONAL TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
- She got her first call-up to the National Team during a remarkable two-week stretch in October of 2016 when she won the NWSL scoring title, the NWSL MVP, an NWSL championship and made her debut for the USA.
- Williams scored just 49 seconds after coming into the game in her first cap against Switzerland.
- Returned to action for the USWNT in January of 2023 for her first international action since tearing her hamstring the prior March in NWSL preseason and punctuated her return with a goal just seven minutes after entering the USA’s match against New Zealand in Wellington.
- In 2021 she played 838 minutes in 16 games with 10 starts, all career highs for a calendar year with the WNT. She scored five goals, also a yearly high, and had four assists.
- She made her Olympic debut on July 27 against Australia, playing the final 16 minutes and got the start against the Netherlands in the quarterfinals and once again started and played 60 against Canada. She provided one of the best stories in USWNT Olympic history on July 30 when she got the start against the Netherlands in the quarterfinal and scored a goal and had a great assist on Samantha Mewis’ diving header.
CLUB HIGHLIGHTS
- Despite missing the entire 2022 NWSL season due to injury, her 57 career NWSL regular season goals heading into the 2023 regular season ranked third all-time in league history behind Australian Sam Kerr (77) and Canadian Christine Sinclair (59), and most ever for an American.
- Selected No. 6 overall by the Western New York Flash in the 2015 NWSL College Draft where she won the NWSL Golden Boot in 2016, was named the 2016 NWSL MVP and helped the club win the 2016 NWSL Championship.
- After the Flash moved to North Carolina and became the Courage, won two more NWSL Championships (2018 and 2019) and a streak of three consecutive NWSL Shields (2017, 2018, 2019) with the Courage.
- Was traded to the Kansas City Current prior to the 2022 season and was then traded from the Current to NJ/NY Gotham FC prior to the 2023 season.
- Also spent time on loan in Australia’s W-League, playing for the Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne Victory.
PERSONAL
- Daughter of David and Christine Williams, both her parents competed in track & field at Fresno State.
- Has a sister, Jessica, who competed in track & field at Cal Poly.
- Majored in Psychology at Pepperdine where she was the program’s first-ever All-American.
- Hosts a podcasts “Snacks” with longtime club teammate and USWNT great Samantha Mewis.
