CHICAGO (Dec. 4, 2015) - The FIFA Women's World Cup 2015 Winner’s Trophy will be on display at two locations in Arizona prior to the World Champion U.S. Women’s National Team taking on China at the University of Phoenix Stadium on Dec. 13 (5 p.m. MT ESPN2 & WatchESPN).
On Saturday, December 12, the trophy will be at Chandler Fashion Center Mall in Chandler outside of the food court from 1-4 p.m. MT. Former U.S. Women’s National Team player and Women’s World Cup and Olympic champion Shannon Boxx will attend the event between 2-3:30 p.m.
Fans will also be able to see the trophy at FanHQ on game day on Dec. 13 from 1:30-5 p.m. MT at the University of Phoenix Stadium inside of the Coca-Cola Share the Celebration activation area.
Fans are encouraged to come enjoy an ice-cold Coca-Cola and take their photo with the iconic trophy, which is normally located at the United States Soccer Federation's headquarters in Chicago.
The U.S. Women's National Team won its third Women's World Cup earlier this summer, defeating Japan 5-2 on July 5 in front of more than 53,000 fans at BC Place in Vancouver. The match was watched by a domestic TV audience of more than 25 million, making it the most watched soccer game in U.S. history.
The FIFA Women's World Cup 2015 Winner’s Trophy will be on display throughout the U.S. Women's National Team Victory Tour. Dates and times for further display will be released prior to the matches in the specific markets.
