Both Altidore (2-2 D; Feb. 6, 2008) and Morris (2-0 W; April 15, 2015), scored their first international goals against Mexico. 

• With the start, Christian Pulisic will have appeared in all six matches during the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. Pulisic is the first player to register three goals and three assists in the Gold Cup since Landon Donovan in 2013.  

• Zack Steffen, Matt Miazga and McKennie each started the last match against Mexico, a 1-0 victory on Sept. 11, 2018 in Nashville.

• With a win tonight, the USA would claim its seventh Concacaf Gold Cup trophy, tying Mexico for the most in tournament history.
