CHICAGO (March 25, 2025) – U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Emma Hayes has named the 24-player training camp roster for the two April matches against Brazil, taking place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., on Saturday, April 5, 2025 (2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET on TNT, truTv, Max, Universo & Peacock) and at PayPal Park in San Jose, Calif., on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 (7:30 p.m. PT / 10:30 p.m. ET on TBS, Max, Universo & Peacock). Hayes will name 23 players to suit up for each of the two matches.
The U.S. roster features the return of forward Trinity Rodman, whose last game for the United States was against Brazil in the 2024 Olympic gold medal game in Paris. Rodman, who hails from Laguna Niguel, Calif. and had three goals and an assist in France, will get the chance to play at SoFi Stadium which is about 60 miles from her hometown.
The roster features 19 of the 23 players who played for the USA at the 2025 SheBelieves Cup and the other additions range from 2023 Women’s World Cup veteran central defender Alana Cook of the Kansas City Current to uncapped Houston Dash defender Avery Patterson, who earned her first senior USWNT call-up.
“This roster has Olympians returning, less experienced players continuing to try to prove themselves, a few uncapped players and some players who have seen and done it all. The mix of players along with two games against a dynamic Brazil team who we last saw in the gold medal game means this event will be a lot of fun,” said Hayes. “All of the players know they have to earn every roster spot, every starting spot and every minute they get as a finisher off the bench. Working with players who are striving for consistency in elite performance, so they can keep getting call-ups and keep exceling at this level, is an exciting process and one that continues with these two games.”

Manchester United goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce, who first trained with the USA at the end of last year during the trip to England and the Netherlands, returns to the roster after serving as a training player during the 2025 SheBelieves Cup. Two players who scored their first USWNT goals during the SBC earned return engagements in forwards Ally Sentnor, the 2024 U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year who scored twice in that tournament – against Colombia and Japan – and Michelle Cooper, who tallied against Australia on a goal set up by Sentnor.
In addition to Rodman, two other players on the roster hail from the greater Southern California area in Angel City FC forward Alyssa Thompson from Studio City, which is 20 miles from SoFi Stadium, and Washington Spirit defender Tara McKeown, who hails from Newbury Park, which is about 45 miles north of the stadium. Forward Catarina Macario, who gets her second consecutive USWNT call-up after a long absence due to injury recovery, is from San Diego.
The San Francisco/San Jose Bay Area connections are also strong. Defender Tierna Davidson hails from Menlo Park, Calif., only about 18 miles from PayPal Park. Davidson, Cook, Macario and goalkeeper Jane Campbell all played at Stanford, whose game field is just 17 miles from PayPal Park.
The roster includes 17 players from the NWSL and seven who are currently playing their professional club soccer in Europe: three in France, three in England and one, Lily Yohannes, in the Netherlands. Defender Emily Sams, the 2024 NWSL Defender of the Year, is the lone player on the roster from the defending NWSL Champions Orlando Pride. The Kansas City Current and Washington Spirit each have three players on the roster.

- The average age of the 24-player game roster is 25.3. The average number of caps per player on this roster is 33.6. Eleven players on the roster (45%) have 10 or less caps.
- Hayes also named two training players to camp in Chelsea FC striker Mia Fishel and Angel City FC goalkeeper Angelina Anderson.
- Fishel returns to the USWNT environment for the first time since last February at the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup where she tore her ACL. Fishel recently returned to the active roster for Chelsea FC and played a few minutes at the end of the March 23 win over Manchester City which was her first game action since the injury. She has three caps and one goal.
- Anderson was a part of the USA’s January training camp in Florida, which was her first senior team call-up.
- Houston Dash Defender Avery Patterson becomes another in a long line of former attacking players to get a USWNT call-up at outside back. Patterson was a center back as a freshman at UNC, then played as an outside back as a sophomore before playing as winger for the rest of her college career. For the Dash, she played outside back and wing back during her rookie year last year while also seeing some time at forward.
- Patterson attended the U.S. U-14 Girls’ ID Camp in 2016 and was a member of the USA’s squad at the 2022 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship at which she scored six goals, including her first four international goals in one game vs. Puerto Rico. She did not make the World Cup Team that year but did play for the U.S. U-23 WNT in the Spring of 2023 and was a part of the Futures Camp in Florida in January of this year.
- Defender Alana Cook, who was on the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Team, but did not see action, last played for the USA on Oct. 29, 2023, vs. Colombia in San Diego.
- Forward Ashley Hatch, who attended the USA’s January 2025 training camp in Florida, last earned a cap in the USA’s final match of 2023 against China PR in Frisco, Texas.
- There will be two teenagers in training camp in Lily Yohannes (17) and Claire Hutton (19).
