FUKUSHIMA, Japan (Nov. 23, 2025) – Paced by four goals from Emily Spreeman, braces from Holly Hunter and Paris Price, and single strikes from Tia LaBrecque, Kate Ward, Mia White, Sydney Andrews and Josephine Blazic, the U.S. Women’s Deaf National Team ran to a 14-0 win against Great Britain in the team’s group stage finale at the 2025 Deaflympics on Sunday. The USA now moves on to face hosts Japan in the Final on Tuesday, Nov. 24, where it will look to earn a record fifth Deaflympics Gold Medal.
The USA was dominant from the opening whistle, with Price feeding LaBrecque for the opening goal in the first minute. Spreeman followed with her first of four goals in the third minute. The USA’s all-time leading scorer also tallied in the sixth, 26th and 34th minute to take her international tally to 48 goals in 29 matches. Hunter grabbed her brace to give the USA a 5-0 lead inside the first 10 minutes.
A Kate Ward penalty, along with goals from White, Andrews and Post gave the USA an incredible 11-0 halftime lead.
On the other side of halftime, Price grabbed two goals in the 46th and 59th minutes, while Josephine Blazic collected her first international goal to cap the scoring at 14-0.
The USA moves on to the Gold Medal Match where it will face hosts Japan on Monday, November 24 (10 p.m. ET; JDFA YouTube). The game will mark the final match of the international careers of long-time veterans Spreeman, Andrews and Ward, as well as head coach Amy Griffin and assistant Joy Fawcett.
