ATLANTA (Jan. 21, 2026) – U.S. Women’s Futsal National Team head coach Diego Burato has selected a 16-player roster for the team’s upcoming training camp to be held January 27-February 1 at Berce Athletic Center in Denver, Colorado.
This camp is a key component of the U.S. Way philosophy, which prioritizes strategic investment in resources, infrastructure, and holistic support for the Federation’s Extended National Teams —including the Futsal National Teams — to ensure they are equipped to compete and succeed at the highest levels of international play.
“The players, coaches and staff are excited to be back together in the new year,” said Burato. “In this new cycle, our goal is to continue building our player pool and raising the overall level of the team. We’ve established a strong foundation over the past year, and that’s why we’re confident this will be a successful cycle.”
Nine players return from the squad that represented the United States at the 2025 Concacaf W Futsal Championship, including U.S. Soccer’s Female Futsal Player of the Year Sarah Martin (Bowie, Md.), who leads the team with seven goals in six appearances. Other returnees include goalkeepers Ellie Goodrich (Alexandria, Va.) and Martha Lord (Bedford, N.H.), fixo Carlie Banks (Peachtree City, Ga.), alas Janae Braun (Folsom, Calif.), Jeanette Fieldsend (Charlotte, N.C.), Kiersen Korienek (Grandville, Mich.), Citlali Luna (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Viet-Thy Tran* (Santa Clara, Calif.; 6/0).
Pivos Luciana Setteducate (North Bellmore, N.Y.) and Auryn Tillette (Birmingham, Ala.) return after taking part in the Futsal WNT’s first-ever international matches last February in Costa Rica, while fixo Jessica Johnson last took part in the domestic training camp last April.
Goalkeeper Fernanda Godinez (Hayward, Calif.), fixo Sophia Carter (Oceanside, Calif.) and alas Tuscany Khachab (Greensboro, N.C.) and Savannah Schutt (Austin, Texas) earn their first invites to Futsal WNT camp.
Officially launched in 2022, the U.S. Futsal WNT began a year-and-a-half Talent Identification process the following year and held its first full National Team training camp in July 2024. The team played its first international matches in a series of friendlies at Costa Rica in February 2025 and competed at the inaugural Concacaf W Futsal Championship last April in Guatemala.
