ATLANTA (Sept. 3, 2026) -- U.S. Power Soccer National Team head coach Tracy Mayer has called in a ten-player roster for training camp that will run from Sept. 11-15 at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Fayetteville, Ga. The squad will gather for the fifth time in 2026 and is the team's final preparation in advance of the 2026 FIPFA Powerchair Football World Cup in Argentina from October 15-24.
"I'm really excited about this upcoming camp,” said head coach Mayer. “It will be our final training camp before heading to Argentina for the FIPFA World Cup in October and we’ll have all eight rostered athletes together and two alternates in attendance as we focus on fine-tuning our preparations for what we know will be a very deep and competitive World Cup field. Our veteran group understands what it takes to compete at the highest level and we’ll lean on that experience and leadership as we sharpen the details, continue building our chemistry and prepare ourselves to perform at our very best when we arrive in Argentina."
Following the camp, Mayer will solidify the roster for the fifth FIPFA Powerchair Football World Cup being staged in Buenos Aires in October. The U.S. finished in third place at the most recent Powerchair World Cup in Sydney Australia in 2023.
The roster is led by three-time Power Soccer Player of the Year Riley Johnson (2023, 2024 and 2025). Seven players, including Johnson, represented the USA at the 2025 APFC Americas Cup, the qualifying tournament for the Powerchair Football World Cup.
This camp reflects the Federation’s commitment to the U.S. Way, by investing in resources, infrastructure, and comprehensive support for the Extended National Teams, including the Power Soccer National team, to ensure they are fully prepared to compete and succeed on the world stage.
