ATLANTA (Oct. 20, 2026) – U.S. Under-15 Girl’s National Team head coach Vanessa Mann has named 22 players for a training camp and matches in Mexico City during an event that will run from Oct. 22-31.
The USA will take on Uruguay (Oct. 28), Paraguay (Oct. 29) and Mexico (Oct. 30) during the 4 Nations Tournament, a round-robin competition that will be held at the Mexico Football Federation (FMF) High Performance Center.
All 22 players called up by Mann were born in 2012 – this age group is the one that will attempt to qualify for the 2029 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup – but the teams the USA will face in Mexico will be made up primarily of players born in 2011, giving this age group a big challenge playing against older competition.
The tournament champion will be decided on points, three for a win and one for a draw. If a match is tied at the end of regulation, there will be a penalty shootout with the winner receiving an additional point. Each of the matches will last 80 minutes with 40-minute halves.
If teams are tied on points at the end of the tournament, the overall tie-breaking criteria is as follows: 1) goal difference in all the matches, 2) highest number of goals scored in all the matches, 3), head-to-head result between the teams concerned, 4) goal difference in the matches between the teams concerned and 5) discipline ranking.
The players on this roster represent nine different states, with nine players from California and three each from New Jersey and Texas. The players represent 14 different youth clubs with four coming from the San Diego Surf, three from PDA out of New Jersey and two each from Ohio Premier, Solar SC out of Dallas and the SoCal Blues out of Orange County, Calif.
The camp and matches are a part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
