HOW ARE USSF POLICIES AMENDED
STEP 1 - PROPOSAL
A proposal to amend the USSF policies may be made by an Organization Member, a member of the Board of Directors, and Adult, Youth, Professional, or Athlete's Advisory Council, or a committee of the Federation. Propose a change to the policies by submitting it in writing to:

The proposal should contain the following information:
- Who is proposing the change
- What the change would be
- How the change would affect the bylaw as it currently stands
- Rationale for why the change should be adopted

All proposals to amend the policies must be submitted in writing to the Secretary General at least 120 days in advance of the USSF National Council meeting at which the proposal is to be considered
Step 2 - Rules Committee Review
The Secretary General immediately will provide the Rules Committee with the proposed policy changes. The USSF Rules Committee periodically will review all proposed changes and make recommendations to the USSF Board of Directors regarding whether the proposed change should be adopted.
Step 3 - Board of Directors Vote
The USSF Board of Directors will vote at each of their meetings on policy amendments that have been proposed and reviewed by the Rules Committee since the last Board meeting. The Board can adopt policy changes by a majority vote
Step 4 - National Council Vote
Policies adopted by the USSF Board of Directors are presented at the next National Council Meeting. The National Council may adopt the policy by majority vote.
