CHICAGO (June 5, 2018) – Defender Margaret Purce has departed U.S. Women’s National Team training camp due to a right ankle sprain suffered in training. The Portland Thorns outside back has returned to Portland to be further evaluated and begin her rehabilitation.
The USA now has 24 players in training camp as the squad preps for two friendly matches against China PR, taking place on Thursday, June 7 at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah, Presented by Cutter Insect Repellent (7 p.m. MT / 9 pm ET; FS1 & UDN) and on Tuesday, June 12 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland (7 p.m. ET; ESPN2).
