ATLANTA (June 6, 2025) –U.S. Women’s Cerebral Palsy (CP) National Team head coach Tricia Taliaferro has named a 13-player roster for the team’s upcoming domestic training camp to be held June 11-15 at McCurry Park in Fayetteville, Ga.
This camp serves as the CP WNT’s final preparation for the 2025 IFCPF Women’s Intercontinental Cup in England this August. A draw for the inaugural tournament took place Friday,where the CP WNT learned its match schedule for this summer's tournament:
- Aug. 19 vs. Nepal at 12:30 p.m. ET
- Aug. 20 vs. Denmark at 12:30 p.m. ET
- Aug. 21 vs. Netherlands at 10 a.m. ET
- Aug. 22 vs. Australia at 10 a.m. ET
The CP WNT’s opening match against Nepal is believed to be the first-ever meeting between a U.S. Soccer National Team and Nepal at any level. The team's final group stage match against Australia will mark a rematch of the past two IFCPF Women’s World Cup finals. The CP WNT made history, earning a 4-2 extra time victory at the 2022 IFCPF Women’s World Cup final, winning its first tournament in the same year that the team launched. In the 2024 final, Australia flipped the script, defeating the CP WNT 6-2. The 2025 IFCPF Women’s Intercontinental Cup is the team’s first major tournament of the new World Cup cycle.
“The cycle is off to a great start, and we’re excited to see the growing interest in our program as we build a deeper, more competitive player pool,” Taliaferro said. “Our coaching staff is focused on elevating the team tactically and technically, knowing we’ll have tough decisions ahead in finalizing the roster. We look forward to seeing how the players respond and rise to the challenge.”
The squad features 10 of the same players who met in Fayetteville in May, including 2024 Female Cerebral Palsy Player of the Year and all-time leading goal scorer Cassidy Leake (Murietta, Calif.). The last time the CP WNT played was at the 2024 IFCPF Women’s World Cup final against Australia. Leake scored nine goals during the World Cup campaign.
The three additions to the roster since May’s training camp are Madison Olson(Murietta, Calif.), Addison Ehrhard (Louisville, Ky.), and Isabella Stankunas (Trappe, Pa.), who scored five goals at the 2024 IFCPF Women’s World Cup.
Eight players from the 2024 IFCPF Women’s World Cup team are part of Taliaferro’s roster, including defender Michelle Cross (Mission Viejo, Calif.), whose 12 appearances make the two-time Female Cerebral Palsy Player of the Year the CP WNT’s highest-capped player. The roster also features six players from the 2022 IFCPF Women’s World Cup championship squad.
