STARTING XI NOTES:
Lindsey Heaps, 32, earns her 180th cap, 140th start and it will be her 47th game captaining the U.S. She currently has 40 career goals, good for 16th all-time in U.S. history. She is now one cap shy of tying her mentor Tobin Heath for 17th on the all-time USWNT caps list. She is just one of 18 players in USWNT history to hit 180 caps.
Rose Lavelle, 30, earns her 124th cap and 104th start. Her 124 appearances are good for sole ownership of 34th most caps in USWNT history, passing Julie Ertz, formerly Johnston, who has 123.
Emily Fox, 27, earns her 80th cap and 68th start. She played the final 210 minutes of the 2026 SheBelieves Cup, playing her first two full 90-minute international matches since October of 2025. She played two more full-90 matches in the April window vs. Japan and split the Brazil matches, playing the full 90 in the first match and just the first half of the second. In the first match against Spain, she played another full 90 minutes.
Tierna Davidson, 27, earns her 72nd cap and 56th start after returning to U.S. play from year-long injury earlier this year. In her two most recent U.S. appearances, Davidson played full 90-minute games in the June 6 match vs. Brazil and in the Oct. 10 match vs. Spain.
Sophia Wilson, 25, earns her 65th cap and 46th start as she returned this October for her third USWNT camp since giving birth to her daughter. Wilson’s most recent match before the 2026 April window for the U.S. was on Oct. 27, 2024, vs. Iceland. Wilson is the 18th mother to play for the USWNT. She scored on June 6 vs. Brazil to become the ninth woman to score as a mother (590 days after her most recent goal before that which was on Oct. 24, 2024, vs. Iceland). The eight other players who have scored as a mom are Alex Morgan (with 16 goals as a mom), Joy Fawcett (13 goals), Danielle Fotopoulos (5), Amy Rodriguez (4), Jessica McDonald (2), Kate Markgraf (1), Kristine Lilly (1) and Tina Ellertson (1).
Trinity Rodman, 24, earns her 59th cap and 37th start. Rodman assisted fellow Triple Espresso member Sophia Wilson on June 6 vs. Brazil and seemed to do the same on Oct. 10 vs. Spain but the goal was disallowed when the VAR caught Wilson just slightly offside.
Ashley Sanchez, 27, earns her 30th cap and 13th start. She made her first appearance for the USWNT in 710 days on Oct. 10 vs. Spain. This is Sanchez’s first USWNT start in 713 days.
Claire Hutton, 20, earns her 22nd cap and 15th start. The midfielder played in both matches vs. Brazil, starting on June 6 for the U.S. She subbed on vs. Spain on Oct. 10 in the 66th minute.
Gisele Thompson, 20, earns her 13th cap and ninth start. This is the first time she, Davidson, Fox and Wesley will start a match on the backline together.
Kennedy Wesley, 25, earns her ninth cap and seventh start for the USWNT. In her last appearance, Wesley played a full 90 minutes vs. Spain, and in June, she did the same enroute to a shutout win over Brazil. In April vs Japan, Wesley subbed on at the half and scored her first international goal and earned her first international assist.
Phallon Tullis-Joyce, 29, earns her eighth cap and eighth start. She has earned seven wins and five shutouts across her eight appearances.
