CHICAGO, Ill. (Feb. 19, 2023) – The U.S. Women’s Beach Soccer National Team head coach Morgan Church has called in 18 players for a domestic training camp that will take place Feb. 21-27 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in Southern California. The camp will serve as continued evaluation and preparation for April’s ANOC World Beach Games qualifiers.
The roster features experienced players including co-captains Jeane Sunseri-Warp and 2022 U.S. Beach Soccer Female Player of the Year Ali Hall, the team’s all-time leading scorers Lauren Leslie and Kilee Quigley, and goalkeeper Melissa Lowder, among others, along with six uncapped players.
The Beach WNT comes off a year in which the team captured its first trophy by winning the El Salvador Beach Soccer Cup last April, with wins over Argentina, Bahamas and the hosts.
Exact dates and the location for the ANOC World Beach Qualifying tournament have not yet been announced by Beachsoccer Worldwide. The USA competed in the inaugural World Beach Games in Qatar in 2019, and will seek one of two Concacaf berths in the 12-team field at the 2023 Games in Bali, Indonesia in August.
