CHICAGO (March 18, 2025) – Defender Max Arfsten, midfielder Brian Gutiérrez and forward Jack McGlynn have been added to the USMNT roster for the 2024-25 Concacaf Nations League Finals. They replace Antonee Robinson, Johnny Cardoso and Auston Trusty.
Arfsten and Gutiérrez each earned their first two caps in the wins against Venezuela and Costa Rica during the annual January Camp earlier this year. Gutiérrez started both contests, while Arfsten debuted in the starting XI against the Vinotintos.
McGlynn, who represented the U.S. at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games, played his first match for the senior team during the 2024 edition of the January Camp. This year, he scored the opening goal of the 3-1 win against Venezuela on Jan. 18 in Ft. Lauderdale.
All three additions are products of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy: Arfsten (California Odyssey), Gutiérrez (Chicago Fire), McGlynn (BW Gottschee, Philadelphia Union).
The USMNT will face Panama in the first semifinal on March 20 at 4 p.m. PT at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The match will be shown live on Paramount+ and Univision, and fans will also be able to follow the matches via Facebook, Twitter @USMNT, Instagram @USMNT and the official U.S. Soccer App.
The other match features Canada against Mexico, with the winners of the semifinals set to square off for the championship on March 23 at SoFi.
