ATLANTA (Sept. 21, 2026) – The U.S. Soccer Federation will honor FIFA World Cup 2026 captain Tim Ream ahead of the Impact Match, presented by New York Life, when the USMNT faces Chile on Tuesday, September 29 at 7 p.m. CT at Energizer Park in St. Louis, Mo. — a celebration of his years of dedication to the national team and impact on the local St. Louis community.
Ream played a critical part in the USMNT’s FIFA World Cup 2026 run to the Round of 16. The center back started and captained the side in four of the five matches while becoming the oldest field player in USMNT World Cup history. The tournament marked the second World Cup for Ream, who started all four matches in the 2022 edition.
The St. Louis native has made 86 appearances with one goal and four assists during his time with the USMNT. Ream earned his first cap on Nov. 17, 2010, starting in a 1-0 win vs. South Africa in the Nelson Mandela Challenge Cup in Cape Town, South Africa. The defender was a part of two Concacaf Nations League championships in 2019 and 2023.
The celebration will begin with the American Outlaws’ Night Before Party at Amsterdam Tavern, where Ream will participate in a Q&A session beginning at 8:30 p.m. CT.
The matchday experience starts well before kickoff, with a full slate of fan engagement and activations centered at Fan HQ, located at Lou Fusz Plaza. Prior to the match, there will be a pre-game recognition ceremony on the field with Ream.
Fan Activities Timeline
- 4:30 p.m. CT — Fan HQ Opens. Gates open at Fan HQ (Lou Fusz Plaza) for pregame festivities.
- Music at Fan HQ. Fans can listen to the Saint Boogie Brass Band drumline along with a DJ at Lou Fusz Plaza, energizing the crowd ahead of the match.
- 5:20 p.m. CT — Team Entrance. Fans are invited to bring the noise and greet the USMNT at Lou Fusz Plaza as the team arrives at the stadium.
- 5:30 p.m. CT — Premium Insiders Meet & Greet. Premium Insiders and above are invited to an exclusive Meet and Greet session with Ream, as well as former USMNT player Brad Davis.
- Throughout Fan HQ:
- Free face painting for fans of all ages
- Kick inflatable, letting fans test their soccer skills
- Activations from U.S. Soccer partners, including New York Life, Haleon, Purina, and more, will be featured throughout Fan HQ.
- Giveaway — Wearable Flags. USMNT wearable flags will be available in seats at the stadium.
- First Cap Photobooth. First-time USMNT match attendees can commemorate the milestone with a free photo marking their first match located in Concourse 110/111.
